Have your name engraved in the unique Laurentian Pavilion
ROSEMÈRE, Monday, March 23, 2009 – It is with considerable pride that the Town of Rosemère will soon become the site of the only Trans Canada Trail pavilion in the entire Laurentian region. However, all citizens and corporate leaders in the region are invited to leave their mark on history by having their name engraved in this pavilion before its inauguration, which is slated for late spring 2009. The Trans Canada Trail, which crosses every Canadian province and territory, consists of several interconnected paths which, depending on the area, will be dedicated to the practice of various activities such as horseback riding, walking and cycling. Here, it will consist of a long cycling path that will enable us to discover a succession of the most magnificent landscapes.
"Help us to finance the establishment of this trail; every $50 donation will make it possible to build a one-metre section of the trail," explained Mayor Hélène Daneault. It should be noted that every donor will receive a Trail certificateand will have thieir name engraved on a panel that will be permanently posted in the pavilion. It is also possible to purchase advertising space at a cost ranging from $400 to $4000, depending on the size selected. Finally, all types of purchase are eligible for a charitable tax receipt.
"This is a unique opportunity to play an active role in a major national unity project," noted Richard Senécal, project coordinator for Québec. The Laurentian Pavilion will be the 9th in our province. Nationwide, close to 200,000 people have already participated in this monumental public project.
Time is of the essence, however, since you must register before Thursday, April 9 to have your name engraved in time for the official inauguration, to which donors will be invited. To register, contact Nicole Racine at 1 800 465-3636, ext. 222, or visit the website at www.tctrail.ca. In the case of requests received after this date, names will be engraved the following year.
"Fall into step and be one of the builders of this magnificent trail," urged Mayor Daneault.
